Marathon
Services was formed in the mid 1980’s by Mr. Ron Lydick. Marathon
remanufactured Xerox 1090 and 1075 copiers (known as the “Marathon” copiers)
and supplied them to the national sales force of Equipment Brokers Unlimited
(EBU), also founded by Ron Lydick.
Marathon’s remanufacturing process met or exceeded the standard
of remanufactured copiers sold directly by Xerox Corporation.
This
exceptional standard created a successful secondary market for remanufactured/refurbished
Xerox copiers. In the late 1990’s, our consistent high standards
in remanufacturing allowed us to make the transition from analog to
digital copiers.
Marathon Services now services and
rents Konica Minolta digital copiers throughout Southern California
in addition to
continuing
its high standards of excellence
in refurbishing copiers.
Our continued success
in maintaining this high level of integrity in both refurbishing
and customer service
comes in a very large part
from our Service and Refurbishing Department manager, Jason Mayo. Jason
joined our team as a Xerox 5100 specialist in 1997, and he has worked
his way to his leadership position. Jason’s work ethic and dedication
to superior customer service has translated to over 80% of Marathon
Services’ copier rental business coming from repeat or referral
business!!

Marathon Services
administration department is headed by Karen Lovos. Karen’s
17 years experience in the copier industry adds to the success
of Marathon Services. Karen possesses
the ability to handle
any administrative issue necessary to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
Sales and marketing is handled by the
owner, Ron Lydick. With over 30 years of experience in the copier
industry, Ron learned many years
ago that empowering all Marathon Services employees to resolve a customer’s
problem without needing approval was key to a successful business.
This ensures our customer’s total satisfaction – Marathon
Service’s primary philosophy!
